Natasha's Song
"Sunrise in Tupperware" - Brooke's Song
Pack your things, we're going for a ride
Filled with mm-bop-ba-dooba-dops and Third Eye Blind.
Roll down your window, it's one fine day.
Kick back your feet, relax, feel the wind on your face.
Till now, camp food never tasted so good
And this cheap mattress never felt so soft against
These weary bones that serve as a jungle gym for
A hundred million campers every summertime.
Pour some Kool-Aid in your Nalgene
And I'll fetch that home made ice cream.
We'll watch the sunset into the lake,
Temporarily blind, but we won't mind.
Summertime.
Hey Jordan! Let's take the pick up.
We'll put a mattress in the back tonight.
We'll watch the stars come out and wake up cold
Just in time for a cotton candy twilight.
Pour some Kool-Aid in your Nalgene
And I'll fetch a blanket or two.
We'll watch the sunrise from the lake,
Temporarily blind, but we won't mind.
Summertime.
There's grass in my pillow and leaves in my bed.
My skin is damp with summer.
All year I waited for this,
But I know that we must wait sometimes.
There are so many roads
That we must take in this life.
Just meet me at those golden shores,
Temporarily blind, but we don't mind.
Summertime.
this is the song that natasha wrote about camp for me, its better to the music, but it definitely made me cry the first time she played it for me. It kinda sums up the way we view camp I think. And the Jordan that's referred to is Miss McCoy because we still have to sleep in the back of a truck together...:) But yeah, I just thought I'd share it because she sent me the lyrics today
