The Chronicles of The Best They Ever Had

Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. Every day they continued to meet together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved. -Acts 2:43-47

in 48 hours i will be landing at Gatwick International Airport

I was excited before, but now that it's within reach, I'm starting to get really excited!

Also, something I have been thinking about the last couple of days: "Great deeds are usually wrought at great risks" (Herodotus). There isn't a successful ministry in which no risks were taken. No one has witnessed without taking a risk. It's just not possible. We can't play it safe and expect God to be able to use us to our fullest. It's all or nothing, right? By playing it safe, we put limitations on what God can do in us and through us. Crazy people. We just don't have faith in God like we ought to.

Ok, so this isn't worth its own post, but I thought it was funny, so please excuse the fact that it is unrelated to the topic of this particular post.

So, I was down at the desk this evening, visiting with the RAs on duty and this conversation happened:

Morgan: Austin, do you have your knife?
Austin: I'm wearin' pants ain't I?

HAHA, I love being from the South.
