Narnia
So i just watched this video clip on cnn.com where on of the Disney creators of the film said if CS Lewis were here he'd say its "just a fantasy book", and the rest of the clip made it look like its a debate whether the film is allegory or not. So, i went to sparknotes to see what the story of "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe" is (dont read further if you dont want any of the story ruined). Pretty much, Aslan (the lion) is the creator of Narnia, which the evil witch has covered in perpetual winter. The children comes and the witch says one of them acted as a traitor so his life must be taken as payment. Aslan strikes a deal with her and secretly gives up his life instead of letting the witch kill the child (he's tortured right before the witch kills him too, hint hint). Aslan then rises from the dead and kills the witch to restore the kingdom.
So.....how is this not about Jesus? Anyone? Please explain to me how one could even fathom to make an argument otherwise. Also, dont forget the fact that Lewis wrote countless Christian books on top of this series. So why wouldnt this be Christian too?
Anywho, i really just find this funny more than anything else. I know its expected that people deny Christian stuff, but still....this one is a bit rediculous.
