Where'd All the Good people Go?
Well...I'm pretty much obsessed with Jack Johnson now - i feel like such a mini jordan cauley! Other than that, I'm being successful at meeting some more people - and have decided on joining campus crusade and west minister presbyterian fellowship. I think I have met what is going to be my best friend at school - she is like 3 doors down and her name is allison - she goes to the ministries with me, and we go uber crazy together doing random stuff (she is just what a petra needs). However, despite my small group of friends - while people here are nice it still shocks me how much corruption there is in college. People are getting drunk all the time - and almost everybody on the hall is in the process or has hooked up with people. Im flabergasted (spell check on that one) at it a lot of times. I still am really enjoying myself though - its just hard to live a different life then them when it is expected that you follow "the code." Thank goodness I'm finding strength in Christ. "Where'd all the Good people go?"

I understand completely. I really do.
I also have to say that I am still struggling to find close friends here at State. I'm pretty close with my co-Bible study leader, and I would probably say she is my closest friend at State....but I don't really have any friends that I am super super close to, that I do a lot of stuff with. I don't really have any girl friends that want to go to the gym and play or who want to go do random fun stuff. It's just something I'm struggling with... But, our Crusade Fall Retreat is this weekend, so hopefully, I will make some new friends. I have realized recently that I have started to, in the last year or so, to really shut myself off from people. A lot. It's like the process is: meet people (maybe), talk to them in class, or say hey between classes, and that's it. I know a lot of people, but I don't open up to people enough to have close friends here. I'm starting to worry about me. I used to be so outgoing.
that last comment was from me, Jordan McCoy, by the way.
